The motivations, that have driven the founding members of the Consortium to establish a structure that ranges across various sectors, lie in the profound transformations imposed by the market, under the structural and the economic-financial profile, on companies. The consortium format was selected as it seemed the most suitable one to involve complementary resources in innovative sectors, containing costs, rationalizing structures and putting together mutual experience and know-how, in line with the entrepreneurial logics of the group.

The Consortium was founded in 1999 in order to deal with, specifically, two new tendencies that had just started to take place in public and private practices: Project Financing and Global Service.

Project Financing, adopted for years in other countries, has found its final location in the recent integrations and changes of the 109/94 Merloni Law, and forms an important part of the C.F.S. PROJECT's strategies, enough to be considered in the social policy. Global Service, on the other hand, represents the answer that will make the production activity less rigid, eliminating a series of functions that don't belong to the company's core business. The philosophy of the process lies in increasing the flexibility of cost structures, transferring a substantial part of costs from the fixed-cost area to the variable-cost one.

C.P.F. Costruzioni S.p.A., as a member of the C.F.S. PROJECT, is now taking part to the realization of an important project named "Firenze Mobilità" by means of Project Costruzioni Scarl.
